The "Seghizzi" Association of Gorizia, which founded and organized the
international choral competition, organizes the VOCAL CHAMBER ENSEMBLE CECILIA SEGHIZZI in order to celebrate the hundredth birthday of the artist Cecilia Seghizzi and to honour its associative history.
The group will be composed of a maximum of 12 singers (mixed voices SATB) under the direction of the musician Marko Munih, a prestigious name of the European choral music. The repertoire will be mainly focused on the choral music both of the eighteenth century and the contemporary one, in particular of Italian composers or composers of the region Friuli Venezia Giulia. As an excellent professional artistic level is required, the admission of the singers to the group will be determined through auditions which will take place on Saturday 1th March or Sunday 2th March (singers can choose the day they prefer) at 15.30by the "Seghizzi" Association, Via Buonarroti 28 in Gorizia.
Singers (born not before the1th January 1972) must present a piece of
chamber music freely chosen and must prove a sufficient level of musical reading. The singers admitted to the vocal chamber Ensemble Cecilia Seghizzi must participate to the rehearsal (two times a month) and to the five concerts planned for the 2008. A proper refunding of the travel expenses and free board and lodging, in case of concert tour in Italy and abroad, will be given.
To participate to the audition all you have to do is sending a letter with the following information:
